Attack name Suzuki Player of the Week
The Owen Sound Attack has named Vegas Golden Knights’ prospect Nick Suzuki the Huron Tractor Supply Player of the Week for Week 21 of the Ontario Hockey League season.
In a trio of wins that helped the Attack move from 7th to 5th in the Western Conference, Suzuki increased his point streak to five straight games by scoring
four goals and adding three assists for seven points.
Now at 77 points on the year thanks to 31 goals and 46 assists, Suzuki started his outstanding week by scoring two goals in Owen Sound’s 4-2 win over the London Knights on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Against the Niagara IceDogs on Friday, Feb. 16, the London native recorded one assist as the team scored five goals in the 3rd period to secure a 6-3 victory.
Concluding the weekend in a thrilling 9-6 win over the Ottawa 67’s, Suzuki totalled four points by scoring twice and adding two assists.
Highlights of the impressive performances, which were part of a week that saw Suzuki’s line of himself, Alan Lyszczarczyk, and Kevin Hancock combine for 17 points, can be found below.
Owen Sound will be back in action this afternoon when they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs in a 2:00pm contest.
