Dudas named to Team Canada

Owen Sound Attack forward Aidan Dudas will suit up for Team Canada for the 3rd time in his young career.

After an impressive selection camp in Calgary, the Parry Sound native was named as one of 22 players for Canada’s entry in the 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament from Aug. 7-12 in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Bratislava, Slovakia.

Dudas has previously played for Canada at the 2016 Youth Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway, as well as with Team Canada Black in last year’s World Under 17 Challenge.

Owen Sound’s 1st round choice in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, Dudas skated in 56 regular season games for the Attack last year, compiling eight goals and 13 assists. He also appeared in all 17 post season games for Owen Sound, chipping in with three goals and an assist.

Joining Dudas on Team Canada is Attack Head Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager, Andy Brown, who was named as one of the members of the support staff for the tournament this past June. Brown is making yet another appearance with the National Squad, having represented his country at both the U17 and U18 levels previously.
