Kings Selected Dudas 113th Overall
The Los Angeles Kings ventured to familiar territory in the 4th round of the NHL Entry Draft, selecting Owen Sound Attack winger Aidan Dudas with the 113th overall pick. Dudas joins Attack teammates Jacob Friend and Markus Phillips in the Kings system.
Dudas was selected by the Kings after a very successful Sherwin Williams Top Prospects game where he slotted in as an emergency replacement and stole the show with 2 goals. The 5’8, 156-pound left winner had a breakout season for the Attack in 2017-18 racking up 31 goals and 34 assists in 68 regular season games, adding 3 goals and 4 assists in 11 playoff games.
The native of Parry Sound, Ontario was drafted by the Attack 10th overall in round 1 of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. In his two seasons with Owen Sound he tallied 39 goals, 47 assists in 124 regular season games, while adding 6 goals and 5 assists in 28 playoff games.
Dudas is one of two Attack players ranked in the NHL’s Central Scouting Bureau final rankings, marked as the 68th ranked North American skater ahead of the 2018 Draft.
