Attack Look to Get in Win Column with Pair of Games at Bayshore

The Owen Sound Attack have a pair of home games this week, starting with a mid-week Wednesday night clash, with Highway 6 rival Guelph Storm. The Bears will wrap the week with a Saturday night tilt against the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The Storm visit the Bayshore in a similar situation as Owen Sound, winless after the opening weekend of action. Much like the Attack, Guelph also has a young roster highlighted with a pair of high-end players in Sasha Pastujov and Daniil Chayka. Pastujov joined the Storm over the off-season after a few stellar years with the United States National Team Development Program, where he post 26 points in just 18 games played last year. Pastujov also brings prestige of being the 66th overall pick in the most recent NHL Draft. Chayka, much like his teammate, was also selected in the most recent NHL Draft, going 38th overall. Chayka is a high-end defensemen with great mobility, and will be a staple on the Storms blue line all season.

To wrap the week, the Bears will welcome the Greyhounds to the Den for a Saturday night clash. Though the Greyhounds don’t boast the same high-end fire power they have in recent years, there are still notable names who can change the game. First is the team’s Captain and 39th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, Ryan O’Rourke. The veteran d-man has amassed 60 points in his 117 OHL career to date, and has spent time internationally representing Canada. Second is Bryce McConnell-Baker, who was the 4th overall pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection Draft. A big body, highly touted forward, McConnell-Baker will look to follow the same path as notable Hounds alumni, Barrett Hayton, Jared McCann, and Morgan Frost who all had stellar OHL careers.

As per the league announcement from October 8th, the Attack are now able to hold 100% seating capacity for home games. Fans can purchase tickets online or at the McVicar and McComb Sutton Reality Box Office. For fans unable to attend, both games will be broadcast on RogersTV and streamed on the new CHL TV, through OHL Live.

The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomato’s, located in the Galaxy plaza on the sunset strip.
