Attack Teaming Up with Rotary Club of Owen Sound

Owen Sound, ON – The Owen Sound Attack are pleased to announce a partnership with the Rotary Club of Owen Sound. The Attack will team up with Rotary to host a charity game night in the 2019-2020 OHL season to raise funds for Camp Presqu’ile.

“We are thrilled to have this chance to work with the Owen Sound Attack for a special Game Night Event” said Rotary Club of Owen Sound Public Relations Director Jill Sampson “This is a great opportunity for our Club to promote and raise funds for our Camp Presqu’ile.  The camp needs a new kitchen and we are always looking for ways to help as many of our local kids as possible to experience the outdoors, fun and friendships that Camp Presqu’ile has to offer.”

Camp Presqu’ile hosts over 700 campers every summer, including youth that are unable to afford the summer camp experience. Working in partnership with the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, the overnight summer camp for youths aged 6-16 has created childhood memories that last a lifetime. The Rotary Club of Owen Sound fundraises to help subsidize the cost for kids wishing to attend camp.

“Camp Presqu’ile has been an important part of summer for over 80 years for thousands of kids across Grey Bruce. We’re happy to help give children the opportunity to attend camp no matter their economic background” said Attack Coordinator of Communications and Community Relations, Allan Gibbons.

A date for the charity game has not yet been set, but will take place in the second half of the OHL season. The themed night will include unique jerseys, a puck toss and additional activities to help raise funds for Camp Presqu’ile through the Rotary Club of Owen Sound.
