Barlow Named to OHL 1st All-Rookie Team

On Tuesday, June 21, the Ontario Hockey League released their 1st and 2nd All-Rookie teams, headlined by 2021-22 Rookie of the Year Cam Allen of the Guelph Storm.
For the Attack, star rookie winger Colby Barlow was named to the 1st All-Rookie team as left winger. Barlow shattered the Owen Sound franchise record for goals by a 16-year old, netting 30 on the season, blowing past the old record of 22 previously held by Bobby Ryan and Daniel Sisca. The 30 goals for Barlow also tied him with teammate, and fellow rookie, Cedrick Guindon for the organization’s rookie goal record in a season. The Orillia, ON native also tied former Attack Assistant Coach Joey Hishon with 47 points as a 16-year old.
Barlow becomes the first Attack named to an All-Rookie team, since Nick Suzuki was named to the 1st All-Rookie Team back in the 2015-16 season.
