Ethan Burroughs and Deni Goure have made the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary ‘Player to Watch’ list for the 2021 NHL Draft. The list contains top prospects eligible for the upcoming draft from around the world.
Burroughs and Goure both received a C rating on the list, which signifies a possible selection in the 4th to 6th round of the draft.
Goure was a first round selection for Owen Sound in the OHL Draft, being selected 10th overall. The forward scored 11 times and assisted on 14 more in his rookie season while appearing in all 62 games for the Attack.
Burroughs appeared in 53 games for the Owen Sound Attack after being selected 29th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. In 53 contests, Burrough found the back of the net 8 times and added 11 assists for 19 points.
Attack Head Coach Alan Letang says “It’s a great testament to their first season in the league. Their hockey sense and work ethic throughout the year made it impossible to keep them out of the lineup. They were able to play in all situations and they were able to produce. When we get playing again, they’re going to take another step forward and we’re going to rely on them in the tough situations.” He adds: “It all goes back to their character, they’re tremendous kids and we’re thrilled for them.”
