Week Four of the campaign brings two divisional rivals into the schedule and a Saturday night affair against familiar playoff foes.
The Attack start the week tonight against the Kitchener Rangers at the Bayshore. The Bears play their first Wednesday night game of the season as they look to earn points in four straight games on home ice. Last Friday, the Rangers overcame a 2-0 deficit on home ice to beat Owen Sound 6-4, powered by a Riley Damiani hat trick. The key to the game will be shutting down the high octane offense while getting quality shots on the Kitchener goal.
For the first time this season on Friday, Owen Sound will play their bitter rivals the London Knights. London is currently ranked 8th in the CHL Top 10 and are off to a solid start on the year with a 3-2 record after five games played. New acquisition Ryan Merkley has bolstered their defensive depth while Washington Capitals prospect Connor McMichael leads the charge up front. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Budweiser Gardens in London.
Wrapping up the week is a battle against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, the first meeting between the teams since a playoff matchup in the spring. While the teams know each other well, two stars from the Soo have since departed to the NHL. Morgan Frost and Barrett Hayton have graduated to the big leagues but they still have plenty of talent up front. Ryan O’Rourke and Jaromir Pytlik provide scoring punch for a young Greyhounds team that is currently second in the Western Conference for goals scored.
Tickets to the Wednesday night and Saturday night games are available at the MacVicar & McComb Remax Attack Box Office and online.
