Nicholas Porco has agreed to a 3-year contract with Asiago Hockey of the Italian Hockey League Elite (IHL).
With joining the Asiago Hockey Club, Porco is joining a strong team, as the organization is the three time defending champs of the IHL. Porco will be looking to help continue that championship pedigree as he heads over after a solid four year career in the OHL.
Porco spent just a half season in Owen Sound, being acquired by General Manager Dale DeGray at the 2022 trade deadline. Upon joining the Attack the overage provided immediate help in adding a calming veteran voice in the dressing room, while being an effective player in all situations for the Bears. Porco would post an impressive 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points for Owen Sound, playing in the teams final 40 games.
Before being acquired by the Attack, Porco was apart of both the Barrie Colts and Saginaw Spirit. The Sault Ste Marie, ON native was originally a 4th overall draft choice by the Spirit back at the 2017 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Porco spent just over two season in Saginaw (138 games) where he posted 57 points (29G, 28A), before being traded to Barrie during the 2019-20 season. As a member of the Colts, Porco contributed 26 points (14G, 12A) in just 55 games.
The Attack wish Nick all the best as he continues his hockey career.
